Payment Policy

Effective Date: July 28, 2026

GhanAmerica lets customers view prices in Ghana cedis (GHS) or United States dollars (USD). GHS display amounts use the current GhanAmerica Kitchen exchange-rate snapshot; checkout identifies the display currency and final payment amount before payment.

Accepted payment methods

GhanAmerica accepts eligible credit cards and debit cards, along with any wallet, GhanAmerica gift-card, or account-balance option displayed in checkout. Card payments are processed through Square or another payment processor identified in checkout. GhanAmerica does not ask customers to send full payment-card numbers by email or a customer-service message.

Order total and currency

Before an order is placed, checkout displays the product subtotal, discounts, shipping and handling, tax, gift balance applied, and the total due. If checkout displays no tax, GhanAmerica will not add a later tax charge to that order. BlackStar Express is an optional shipping selection, not a membership or subscription, and its separate fee is shown before payment.

Authorization and order acceptance

A payment method may be authorized when an order is submitted. An order is not accepted until GhanAmerica confirms the item, price, availability, delivery eligibility, address, and payment. If GhanAmerica cannot accept an order after collecting payment, the affected amount will be voided or refunded to the original payment method.

Taxes and billing information

Any tax collected by GhanAmerica is shown before payment. Customers must provide accurate billing and contact information. GhanAmerica may request verification or cancel a transaction when authorization, identity, or fraud checks cannot be completed.

Refunds

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Amounts paid with GhanAmerica gift balance are returned to that balance. See the Return & Refund Policy for eligibility and timing.
